Weekly Menu 10/31/22

Happy Halloween! I hope you had a wonderful Spooky Season. Now, its time to cozy in and start thinking about all of those Fall comfort foods. We will be celebrating Friendsgiving this coming weekend. What started 12 years ago with 3 couples (and one baby a few weeks from being born - love you Tina Turkey!), has become 7 couples and 13 kiddos!! We all have our niche foods too. For example, I always bring the mashed potatoes and noodles, while EM brings the stovetop and ET makes a pecan pie and gets the turkey and the cajun flavor injection. All the husbands go outside and use water to measure the oil level for the turkey because no one has managed to remember how much we use, even though we've been doing this for nearly 12 years (we skipped 2020). Its good fun.

Speaking of cozy Fall food, I made pulled pork last week. There was so much left over from the sandwiches on Thursday, that we made tacos on Saturday for the OSU game. That homemade slaw is so good!

This week is going to be a busy one. We skipped trick-or-treat in our town on Saturday so we could go with our friends tonight. Wednesday is parent-teacher conference night, and Saturday is Friendsgiving. I have 2 pies to make and some PTA stuff to get organized (in my head. haha!) We will also be launching a giveaway and a plant sale on the Plantdemic OH facebook page this week. Make sure you check that out!

Now, on to the food this week:
Monday: Appetizer Dinner with Friends before Trick-or-Treating
Tuesday: Pistachio Pesto Pasta with Salad
Wednesday: Crockpot Beef Tacos
Thursday: Copycat Orange Chicken and Super Greens
Friday: Delivery Pizza
Saturday: Friendsgiving
Sunday: TBD. All I know is I'm not cooking!

As always, let me know what you're having this week. Have a delicious week, my friends!
